Tropical Reason is a personal blog about technology, democracy, society, and life between cultures.
I'm a Brazilian living in Berlin, with a background in physics, software development, and civic technology. I've spent much of my professional life working with open knowledge, free and open-source software, and projects that use technology for the public good.
This is a place to share thoughts, questions, experiences, and occasional reflections on everyday life. Some posts will be political, others technical or personal.
The name Tropical Reason reflects an attempt to bring together different perspectives: warmth and rationality, Brazil and Europe, curiosity and critical thinking.
